The start
Mixu works through the browser, so starting does not require an app download first. Open the site, choose the video-chat path, and continue from the web.
This page is about access, not a separate kind of conversation. The video experience itself is covered in the 1-on-1 Video Chat and Random Video Chat pages.
In the browser
The browser handles the connection between the site and your camera and microphone. Before video can work, your browser may ask for permission to use those devices.
Allow the permissions you want to use, then continue into the video-chat experience. If camera access is not available, use Text Chat instead.
Skipping an app installation removes one setup step, but video still needs access to the hardware required for the conversation.
Your browser controls camera and microphone permissions. If those permissions are blocked, the video experience cannot use the blocked device until the browser allows it.
The main advantage is straightforward access: there is no separate app installation between opening Mixu and choosing how you want to start.
That can be useful when you want to try the experience first, use a device where you do not want another installed app, or simply prefer browser-based services.
